February 22, 2019 — We’re pleased to announce that Nick Carroll, who has been successfully leading our Managed Services Department for a couple of years, is pivoting into the technical advancement track as Senior Engineer, charged not only with being our top escalation resource but also acting as a performance coach for the rest of the engineering team. We’re looking forward to regaining his expertise and superhuman work ethic on the technical side, and expect to see great results in customer satisfaction, timeliness, and throughput for the team as a whole.
Taking his place as Managed Services Manager is Brian Kelly, another long-time employee who has shown time and time again that he excels in the areas of strategic thinking, process development, and quality assurance. He is charged with maintaining the gains Nick helped us achieve, and taking the department to the next level in quality of customer service, efficiency, and automation. In his previous positions as Support Desk Manager and Systems Manager, he has been instrumental in developing processes and systems across the organization, and will continue with that work in this new role.
Please join us in celebrating the contributions of these two valued colleagues and friends, and thanking them for their years of dedication to the work and the team at Longleaf. Congratulations, Brian and Nick!
January 28, 2019 — We’re looking for an additional Systems Engineer 1, so please spread the word! If you know of someone who is looking for a position at a small but mature MSP, where career development is taken seriously and mutual respect is assumed, please ask them to send a resume to email@example.com.
December 19, 2018 — We’ve opened a new office in Connecticut. The Triad edition of The Business Journal wrote about it here. President Tamara McLendon is quoted as saying, “We’re actively seeking new customers in Connecticut who are interested in our preventative, strategic approach to IT.”
December 10, 2018 — Brent Bowen started today as a Systems Engineer with the Managed Services Department. He won us over in the hiring process with his troubleshooting skills, as well as his easy-going personality. Welcome, Brent!
November 26, 2018 — The team is happy to welcome Attila Gyrovszky, Jr., to our Managed Services Department. As a Systems Engineer, he’ll be working directly with clients to troubleshoot issues and, with his outgoing and positive personality, we know he’ll become a favorite.
July 9, 2018 — We were featured in the Triad edition of The Business Journal this morning, along with our strategic business planning partner, The Lattitude Group. The article talks about our growth over the last couple of years, and our expectations for the next few years.
July 9, 2018 — Please join us in welcoming Brian Ingram to our team as a Systems Engineer. He most recently was a Senior Systems Engineer with XPO Logistics, and has degrees from East Carolina University (MS in Technology Systems) and Pfeiffer University (BA in Business Administration).
June 18, 2018 — Three of members of our Service Desk attended AutomationNation this year, a technical conference for ConnectWise users. They learned about new features that will help us increase our automated services to our customers, as well as various management and customer service topics. There are rumors that there are photos of one of them in a polar bear costume (the mascot of a vendor), but they’ve been very secretive about that. Apparently, what happens in Orlando stays in Orlando.
June 15, 2018 — We’ve just welcomed two new Systems Engineers and a Support Desk Dispatcher to Longleaf. They’re all team-oriented, customer-focused, and natural problem solvers — exactly the kind of people we like working with, and that our customers appreciate. So, if you’re a customer and find yourself in contact with Brandon Sartin, Russell Hunter Jr., or David Falls, please join us in welcoming them to the team!
April 25, 2018 — We’re always pleased to participate in the New Garden Friends Golf Tournament, but this year, we were a Sponsor! Glad to support a great cause, and it was a fun day out of the office for Service Desk Manager Nick Carroll and Sales Engineer Nick Wiley.
January 19, 2017 — Some news about our hybrid back-up service. Triad tech firm sees grow with new disaster recovery product, The Business Journal.
