Longleaf Systems and Triad Tech Services merge to form The Longleaf Network

New company will serve clients nationally and plans to grow by acquiring additional managed service providers

GREENSBORO, NORTH CAROLINA June 30, 2021—Longleaf Systems and Triad Tech Services (TTS) have joined forces to create The Longleaf Network (Longleaf or TLN).

The two companies have a combined 29 years of experience providing IT consulting and managed services to clients in the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina and across the country. Under the new organizational structure, Triad Tech Services and new unit, Tekdesk, will operate as distinct divisions. While TTS will remain focused entirely on the Triad, Tekdesk  will serve larger national clients.

“The combination of our two companies into The Longleaf Network will allow us to deliver robust, sophisticated services to clients in local markets as well as serve clients that require a national presence,” said Trey Miller, founder and CEO of Triad Tech Services and CEO of The Longleaf Network.

“Together, we’ll be able to streamline operations and offer additional capabilities to clients,” said Harvey McLendon, founder of Longleaf Systems, who will be CEO of Tekdesk and chief technology officer of TLN. “Of course, our clients will still continue to receive the same exceptional services our companies have offered.”

Tamara McLendon will serve as Longleaf’s chief financial officer,  and Brian Kelly will serve as the company’s chief operating officer.

TLN’s strategy for growth is to add more MSP members in cities similar to Greensboro. “One of our goals is to partner with companies like ours. The Longleaf Systems of Knoxville or the Triad Tech Services of Savannah,” said Miller.

Harvey McLendon added, “We see Longleaf as a dignified exit strategy for MSP owners who don’t want to just close shop or get consolidated by a private-equity firm. These owners want to keep their current teams and clients happy and may want to still serve in an advisory role through their company’s transition.”

Triad Tech Services  was founded in 2006 and has been operating in the Triad as an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) for the last nine years. Longleaf Systems has been operating both regionally and nationally since 2007.
